Few shows get as much media attention with so few viewers as “Gossip Girl,” and I guess I’m only keeping up with the trend by not watching it but still writing about it. In this edition of “strangely incongruous synergy,” No Doubt will reunite on the show’s season finale.
Not only will it be the first time that fans get a glimpse of the new spin off (possibly titled Lilly in the Valley), but No Doubt, a band that hasn’t performed together in five years, will be hitting the set and playing “Stand and Deliver” which was originally done by Adam and the Ants.
According to the band’s official Web site, they have confirmed the appearance and released a full summer tour. This is exciting stuff!
That’s a pretty liberal use of the word “exciting.” Roller coasters are exciting. The Dark Knight was exciting. Sleeping with someone who’s better-looking than you is exciting. The season finale of a little-watched TV show on The CW that will serve as the launchpad for a spin-off and a reunion tour for a band no one particularly misses… the adrenaline! My heart… racing! It’s just too much!

“Stand and Deliver” which was originally done by Adam and the Ants —–
Should have been called “Sit and Receive”. Get it? Because they’re gay?
Who’s gonna be doing what on which show now? The CW has an entire network?
We all have something that digs at us. At least we dig at each other.
The only way I would watch Gossip Girl is if a group of condemned criminals was digging at No Doubt and the cast of Gossip Girl with rusty hooks.
Great! A show I don’t watch is gonna have on a band that I don’t particularly care about.
Now all I need is Blink 182 to do a reunion on One Tree Hill and I’m all set!
this is gonna be better than that time The Squirrel Nut Zippers showed up on “Party of Five.”
I would pay anything to see that again.
This is bullshit, if Gossip Girl really wanted big ratings, they should book Captain Geech and the Shrimp Shack Shooters.
They should book Melissa Cherry
