On Friday, Oprah went on Chicago’s “Live!” program to show the world Sadie, her new Cocker Spaniel puppy that she adopted from a PAWS shelter.  Then she showed a bunch of other puppies that are up for adoption, because it’s Oprah, and God knows she can’t do anything without it becoming some kind of cause célèbre among Midwestern housewives.

I don’t know why I resent her for doing that, but I do.  Like, I want those puppies to find homes, but not because Oprah decided to make it her personal crusade.  If people adopt those puppies it will just boost her ego.  I’d rather see some headlines like “OPRAH FAILS TO MOVE PUBLIC; PUPPIES DIE.”  I just think that ‘s way more rewarding than a dog’s unfailing love.
