For too long, auto-tune has existed as a way for T-Pain and Kanye West to make cool songs without actually increasing the level of their talent. Now that the audio processor is finally making its way into the hands of the proletariat, we’re finally seeing it used the way new technologies should be used: for cheap laughs.
This week in “Auto-Tune the News,” Michael Gregory uses auto-tune on news clips as he “interacts” with news anchors and politicians to discuss pirates, the legalization of marijuana, and gay marriage. And it’s all set to a fresh beat that will resonate with the nation’s youth! That’s the best part — that he’s reaching out and touching the kids. Um, metaphorically. I hope.

Even better than the MLK Speech is the Auto Tune job they did on Winston Churchill’s speech. And thank you for clarifying the Weird Al post. Weird Al was funny in the same way Yakov Smirnof was funny. I.E. Not at all.
1st. Weird Al was funny and that is the end of that discussion
2nd. Someone auto tuned MLK’s “I have a dream” speech and that is way better because you dont have to stare and 2 “Brahs” through out the video.
Huevo, I should clarify that I meant “funny” like in “weird”, as opposed to amusing.
Gotta admit, the video made me laugh, especially with auto-tuning Katie Couric and calling all the womens “shawty”. This will get old really quick in the wrong hands, but for now, AutoTuneAmerica!
Weird Al Yankovic was funny?
Seems more like an electronic Weird Al Yankovic, but without the funny lyrics.
i want an auto-tuned life.
