‘FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS’ FINALE TONIGHT
04.10.09Season 3 of “Friday Night Lights” comes to a close tonight, and while I don’t watch it myself, I feel comfortable encouraging others to do so. Although I will say that this thirty-second promo couldn’t possibly tell me less about what’s going to happen. ”So, uh, people make faces… and hug? Sounds… awesome. Real awesome.”
Also, why does it seem that every small town in Texas is in “the heart” of Texas? Permian (the town used in FNL) is way out in the hellish faltering oil fields of west Texas. That sounds more like the rectum of Texas to me. C’mon Hollywood, gimme some honest advertising.
EDIT: So the town is “Dillon” in the TV show. Same diff: based on Permian.

Funny, this entire season aired months ago on DirecTV.
And it’s filmed in Beautiful Pfluegerville, Texas, in case anyone gives a flying Limbaugh.
Fair enough, I just saw an opportunity to be a snarky dickhead internet commenter and had to take it.
For a TV blogger, there are sure a lot of good / popular shows you don’t watch.
Yeah, but if I watched everything that was popular, I’d be a miserable human being and the site would suck. More.

Permian is not a town, it is the name of a high school in Odessa, TX, named after the Permian Basin, a geological formation and name of the region.
Dillon is in the “awesome jugs of Connie Britton” of Texas. Or maybe “Minka Kelly’s vagina” of Texas.
Permian is the town in the movie. The town in the tv show is Dillon, ppfffffff!
How dare they show the Smash! Ye Judas ye!
Deep in the rectum of Texas doesn’t have the same ring to it. Unless you’re a blogger.
