GLAYVIN!
04.09.09Oh man, Matt Groening and “The Simpsons” team have GOT to be ashamed today. Even the most die-hard fans will be shocked to learn that over the course of 20 years and 436 episodes, the show you might have once enjoyed is actually RIDDLED WITH ERRORS. Movie Mistakes points out 50 in particular. A sample:
Homer the Moe
When Moe picks up the “Malaysian Beer” and says how good it is, you then see a shot of Homer talking, then when Moe has put down the beer, it’s a Duff. [pictured]Mr. Plow
When Homer is about to drive up the mountain to save Barney and Marge is begging him not to, Maggie’s coat is blue. But when the family is watching the mountain goat fall down the mountain, her coat is orange.Tree House of Horror VI
In the ‘Nightmare on Evergreen Terrace’ segment, in Bart’s dream you see a shadow of what looks like someone with four knife-fingers. Then when we see who it is, it is Willie holding a rake. But the rake has five tines, not four, so the shadow is wrong.
OH MY GOD. I… I can’t even look at the show any more! Can I just roll the standard fanboy nerd quote now and be done with it? Cool:
“In episode 2F09 when Itchy plays Scratchy’s skeleton like a xylophone, he strikes the same rib twice in succession, yet he produces two clearly different tones. I mean, what are we to believe, that this is some sort of a magic xylophone or something? Boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder. ”

The errors don’t stop with the show; the Simpsons Movie was supposed to be funny, but when you watch it you see that it isn’t.
/watching Simpsons Move now
//huge hypocrite
What about the time when Itchy played Scratchy’s ribcage as a xylophone, strikine a rib on two consecutive occasions, but getting a different tone each time? What are we to believe, that this is some sort of magic xylophone? I really hope someone got fired over that one.
A wizard did it.
Eh, whatever, just gimme a Duff.
A more egregious error was the 2001 decision to remove all humor and clever satire from the show.
Hey! In that first picture Moe is smiling. In the second one he isn’t! It’s gonna take more than that to fool me. Can I get hired over at that movie mistakes place now?
That’s what you get for trusting those shifty korean animators…
If the writers keep making sloppy errors like those, the show is doomed to fail.
