I really can’t stand to watch Craig Ferguson.  I have no justification for this other than I don’t want to hear a Scottish accent before I go to bed.  Is that xenophobic?  Maybe.  Or maybe it’s patriotism.

That said, I can’t congratulate CBS and Ferguson enough for not using the staid band-announcer-guests opening of every other late night talk show and doing a different cold opening every night.  I especially like this one, where he lip-syncs with puppets to “Say Hey (I Love You)” by Michael Franti & Spearhead.

In fact, forget this as a late night act.  I want puppets to show up and sing this song to me every morning.  It might make me a little less suicidal when I wake up.  Might.
