VH1 has renewed “Tough Love,” the reality matchmaking series in which host Steve Ward improves women’s lives by being a dick to them. (watch the promo here)
“Audiences couldn’t get enough of Steven’s brand of tough love and brutal honesty, which is why we wanted to bring the show back for a second season,” said Jeff Olde, executive vp, original programming, VH1. “Our viewers truly connected with the highs and lows of dating experienced by each woman on the show as well as Steven’s distinctive male perspective” etc., etc., etc… [The Live Feed]
In a way, Ward’s unique brand of pigheadedness is kind of impressive. It’s not just any Jersey douchebag who can take a group of vapid, useless tramps and make me feel sorry for them. You know, for the 45 seconds I could tolerate watching the show.

For a moment, I thought that read “watch the porno here.” Suffice it to say, I was disappointed.
With a title like “Tough Love,” I expected a lot more BDSM. They should make the host feels the same kind of pain that we get while watching. A stiletto heel stomping on his scrotum, perhaps?
