Good news and bad news, people. Good news is that the cast and crew of “Mad Men” reported back to work today to begin shooting Season 3 of AMC’s Emmy-winning series. Bad news is that we have to wait until AUGUST for the season to start, and there’s still no set date. But I want it NOW!
Not to be That Guy who tells you what TV shows you should watch, but everybody who talks about how good this show is si correct. If you haven’t seen it yet, now’s a good time to Netflix Season 1 and watch Season 2 on iTunes (the second season DVD will no doubt be released just before the Season 3 debut to build hype). I’d argue that “Mad Men” has the best collection of richly crafted, complex characters since “The Sopranos.” So give it a chance. Early ’60s style, drinking at work, casual sexual harassment, adultery, Christina Hendricks… it’s everything I’ve ever wanted in life, all in one TV show. Well, almost everything. (No cats in clothes. Yet.)

Mad Men pretty much has everything a man could want in a show: excessive drinking, constant smoking, women who know their place and big breasted redheads! Throw in some monkeys on a tricycle and I’d take it home to meet my mother. Wait, what?
