Those of you connected to the Interwebitwitterspheriverse may recall that following the deaths of Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson last Thursday, there was a much-tweeted hoax that Jeff Goldblum had died. Well, on last night’s “Colbert Report,” Goldblum appeared in person to address the news of his death.
It’s a pretty solid clip, and I like the idea of giving your own eulogy — I think that could be even better than attending your own funeral à la Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn. Not that I ever read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Books are for queers. The only explanation for how I even know that reference is that I accidentally learned it by osmosis when I used a hardcover copy to beat up a nerd. That’s what you get for reading, wuss!

Who would you most prefer give your eulogy?
I’d go with either Morgan Freeman or Bobcat Goldthwait
Hmm, looks like we’re out of corn pone, fat back, hard tack, fat pone, corn tack…
I accidentally learned it by osmosis when I used a hardcover copy to beat up a nerd.
Ufford also learned the word “osmosis” from Baywatch.
This was pretty awesome. I especially liked his reaction to the real newsbroadcast about it.
Self-eulogy would be right up Billy Mays’ alley. WATCH MIGHTY PUTTY PULL THIS CASKET! YOU ONLY NEED ONE PALLBEARER!
“coffee table book of “20 Greatest Female Porn Stars of the 80’s”
Would you like some Sekka with your Sanka?
“Books are for queers.”
But what about this coffee table book of “20 Greatest Female Porn Stars of the 80′s” I just got?
/actually not a bad idea
//anyone in publishing?
He was, however, in thinking jail.
