Just when you think Keyboard Cat is played out and co-opted by the likes Bill O’Liely, somebody gives him new life. As for the ending, it makes me wonder if Keyboard Cat is related to Toonces.

Viva Keyboard Cat. If you’ve seen one Hall & Oates video you’ve fucking seen them all. They must have had a day’s rental and shot their entire 80s output worth on the exact same set.

They spent all of their video budget on mustache wax for Oates.

To be fair their budget did stretch to some some natty fedoras and raincoats in the “Private Eyes” video and some obligatory 80s dry ice in the “I Can’t Go For That”; or they’d set fire to the studio and weren’t leaving till they got their money’s worth.

/just spent the last half hour looking for a Hall & Oates video not shot in the same windowless black walled room. Didn’t find one.

I was gonna have keyboard cat playout ‘the loneliest runner’ but whats the point now.

It’s amazing. Just like a virus becoming resistant to penicillin, the meme mutated to avoid irrelevance.

Frankly, I didn’t like how Hall & Oates was invading Keyboard Cat’s personal space. Oates looked especially poised to take off the blue shirt/pajamas/whatever from the cat and do something unnatural.

In any context, though, Oates looks like a pervy little loser.
