I think it’s a Republican thing. Joe Scarborough continues to respond to Jon Stewart’s skewering of the “Morning Joe presented by Starbucks” thing, and Stewart always gets the better of Joe.
As for those who think Letterman was talking about the 14yo, give me a break. The jokes were about a Palin daughter getting knocked up — like a Palin daughter got knocked up last year — of course they were about that daughter. The thing is, with jokes, they don’t have to be 100% accurate (e.g., different daughter than attended the Yankee game). It’s called humor — try it some time.

Because Sarah and Todd are such wonderful parents who have kept their underage daughter (she was at the time) so in line and safe. Cause Mother of the Year is what she is don’cha know?

You use your baby like it was a purse or a piece of jewelry, for photo ops. You drag your kids all over the country and put them in the eye of the media ALL THE TIME.

But please! Get bent out of shape now when your NOW 18 year old daughter is targeted by comics, because her life (and yours) wasn’t a joke already.

I don’t give two shits about his politics, it just bums me out that Letterman sucks so much now, yet used to be fucking hysterical pre-CBS. Even worse, Matt Groening has taken The Simpsons down that same road. Both used to be brilliant, yet are now unwatchable.

Ok, so I took the jokes as “Spitzer pays for sex” and “A-Rod will fuck anything that moves”.

But by all means, Sarah, make this about your kids. You haven’t exploited them nearly enough lately. Hey, maybe your constant media-whoring (as opposed to “parenting”) is what leads to your kids making bad choices…? Nah, you’re right. It’s Letterman’s fault.

One more thing…anyone wanting Letterman fired over this SURELY asked for Limbaugh’s head when he referred to Chelsea as “the White House dog”, right? I mean, you guys aren’t hypocrites or anything, right?
