Squeaky-clean and well-adjusted teen sensation Taylor Swift opened up last night’s Country Music Awards Country Music Television Awards with a rap video featuring omnipresent Auto Tuner T-Pain (see video below). As you can see, she’s no Natalie Portman on Saturday Night Live (also below), but considering Swift doesn’t drink or swear or — from what I can tell — have impure thoughts of any kind, she manages to do pretty well here. Props to the CMT Awards for doing something that made me notice they exist.
Swift also won Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year, then closed out the show by singing “Pour Some Sugar on Me” with Def Leppard. And it’s good to see Def Leppard working. You can catch them next week at the Emerald Queen Casino in Fife, Washington and on August 11th at the Slinger Community Center in Slinger, Wisconsin (note: Bingo will be moved up an hour to accommodate the show).
Taylor Swift’s Thug Story:
Natalie Portman on SNL (uncensored track and YouTube here):

Somewhere in heaven, Dr. King is doing the facepalm.
Slinger Community Center is great. You should try there moz stick.
What has nine arms and rocks?
Ahhh, the Emerald Queen Casino, where the kinda-sorta-famous of 30 years ago comes to remind the few people there not gambling that they exist. In their defense, Def Leppard must have fallen a few rungs to agree to show up there.
I’ll give CMT credit, last place to find a fucking music video…also Natalie Portman is the cutest thing with two tits.
I’m amazed, given the demographic, they haven’t changed the name of the show to the Country Music Digital Television Awards.
(in autotune) Where the White women at?
The full title was the CMT Music Awards. The Country Music Television Music Awards. Redneck joke goes here.
Thank you, Boatdrinks. Edited.
Sorry, cranky pants here. The show was actually CMT awards…Country Music Television’s own awards show for themselves. Since I missed it, I will be able to see one of the multitude reviewings in the next two weeks.
But thanks for the heads up! I never pay attention to this one…..CMA’s and ACM’s are April and November. Or November and April?
T-Pain has got some explaining to do to his people.

“I’ve told them a hundred times: Put ‘Def Leppard’ first and ‘Puppet Show’ last”. Let’s hope they get a larger dressing room than the puppets.
