UNDERCOVER BLACK PANTHER COP!
06.04.09
You’re under RAWR-rest! (sorry)
Oscar nominee and hat enthusiast Terrence Howard will produce a new TV show about Ronald Farwell, an undercover LAPD detective who infiltrated the Black Panther Party, which I’m told is very different from the cougar party I saw in Palm Springs.
“Pigs and Panthers” will be set in 1960s and early 1970s Los Angeles, when Farwell infiltrated the Black Panthers. Project will draw from the story of Farwell and his wife, an L.A. Sheriff’s deputy, as he soon finds himself on the wrong side of the Black Panther Party, the FBI and the LAPD itself. [...]
“That time in our lives had a tremendous impact on our society, which can be felt even today,” Howard said. “We’ve put the right creative team in place to tell this fascinating story.” [Variety]
I dunno, I don’t think it’s the right creative team unless Howard stars in it as well. He could bring so much to the role. Like his killer fedora collection.

Wow, this guy AND his wife were both cops? Bet they were so much fun to hang out with.
There’s no way he said that. It doesn’t rhyme, mannnnnnn, ya dig?
I enjoy the taste of pigs…never had panther before.
“Recently, a fan of my work called me a ‘cool cat’. I just started thinking, like, we’re all kinda like cats, ya know. They say cats have 9 lives. And don’t you agree that we’re all living different lives at the same time. I mean, when times get tough, we all do our best to land on our feet. I’m really looking forward to see how this show’s ball of yarn unravels itself man.”
If he doesn’t star it in he should at compose the soundtrack, hopefully doing so entirely on bongos (see every filmdrunk article on Howard ever for details)
