07.12.09 DAWSON’S CREEK WITH PENIS JOKES

This is episode 1 of “Weiner Falls,” a “Dawson’s Creek” parody that doesn’t really parody “Dawson’s Creek” so much as infuse it with lots of phallic pranks. Which is fine with me — force me to choose between satire and dick jokes, and I’ll take dick jokes every time. (There’s more, too: Episode 2 is also excellent, though Episode 3 felt kinda flaccid.)

What’s up with spelling it “Weiner,” though? I always thought “weiner” was pronounced whiner, whereas “wiener” was for hot dogs and penis jokes. Can I get some German-American dickological humorists to weigh in on this one? I’m a dickological humorist, but my liguistic concentration is French. Suck my coq! **waves rubber chicken**

It is from Hot Box, which I think only airs on Canada’s Comedy Central channel. It is alright, kind of stupid though, but that is Pat Thornton though.

I am as confused as you are. As “Wiener” lends itself from the sausage made in the city of “Wien” (i.e. Vienna), in vintage German dickology it also referred to the inferior quality of Austrian penises (which is why Freud could relate to a theory like penis envy – and it might also explain in part why Hitler was the biggest asshole in history).
“Weiner”, however, is indeed pronounced “whiner”. A “Weiner” is either someone who cries a lot (especially because of his Austrian penis) or someone who supplies others with “Wein” (i.e. wine) – an ancient date rapist, according to some sources I just made up. Also, why isn’t it “reciever” (as in “reliever”) rather than “receiver”.
