LINKS FROM AN 18TH CENTURY CAT PIANO
08.13.09Best. Instrument. Ever. During my Internet travels last night, I stumbled across this Neatorama post from 2006 about the katzenklavier, or cat piano. “It consists of a line of cats fixed in place with their tails stretched out underneath a keyboard. Nails would be placed under the keys, causing the cats to cry out in pain when a key was pressed. The cats would be arranged according to the natural tone of their voices.” [Wikipedia]
BAM. Yesterday I complained that the hilarious “Community” preview featuring Ken Jeong as Senor Chang wasn’t online yet. Now it is. [NBC]
202 Pictures of Awesomess. This is where I don’t understand bloggers. Why not make it an even 200? Wouldn’t that make more sense? “No man, I’ve got 202. This is all of them.” [YepYep]
Another vote for Obama death panels! An old man looking at porn in the Apple store! Euthanize him before he creeps more people out! [Blog of Hilarity]
Oh fine, I’ll watch it. Another trailer for “Glee.” Yup, it still looks funny and touching and pop music showtunes-y. And if watching this show makes me gay, well, hand me some leather chaps and point the way to Christopher Street. Only God can judge me! God, and Judge Judy. [Best Week Ever]
Whatever. Kourtney Kardashian — the one who isn’t Kim or the giantess — is pregnant. She’s got a new show about being in Miami with her gigantic sister, and there was another link I saw that says she makes out with a chick on the new series, but I closed that browser window and it’s really not worth digging up again. [E!]
OOOOOH! THEM DUKE BOYS! Ten of the best jumps performed by the General Lee on “The Dukes of Hazzard.” [Epic Carnival]

On a cat-related note, thanks for the heads-up on the “3 Keyboard Cat Moon” shirt. Mine looks glorious.
and Judge Judy GARLAND.
/Two snaps!
So do you just google “cats” and see where the wild wolrd of the internet will take you? how in the world did you find the cat piano?
Goddamn that Community clip looks funny. Glee, I’m still on the fence. Might be good, but when you think about the entire spectrum of things that are good versus things that aren’t, the odds of it turning out particularly great are pretty long…
I really want to like Community, but I have yet to see anything all that funny.
