08.31.09 TWO-HEADED SNAKES, BLOOD, AND PYTHON CRAP

I always love it when animal handlers make appearances on late-night talk shows, and Friday night’s “Tonight Show” with reptile expert Nigel Marven was no exception.  Not only does Marven speak like a British Steve Irwin, but he also displays a similar neglect for animal teeth and claws: he came onstage already bleeding from the neck and proceeded to get bitten several more times throughout the interview.  And then a Burmese python took a dump on Conan’s desk.

It’s exactly the kind of pandemonium I hope for when wild animals are paraded around a crowded TV studio for a late-night show.  Well, not exactly what I hope for.  Paul Shaffer still hasn’t been mauled by a bear and raped by gorillas.
