10.28.09 ‘FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS’ IS BACK

The fourth season of “Friday Night Lights” kicks off tonight on DirecTV’s 101 Network, and since today’s news is slower than old people humping, here’s a new extended version of the promo video that was floating around a week or two ago. It shows you characters looking serious, then a tree breaks apart, and the football field goes all 2012 on Coach Taylor and his wife.

“FNL” is definitely an excellent show — well-written, well-acted, nicely paced — but I checked out during Season 2, then Season 3 was on during Friday nights before I had DVR, and now I’m so far behind that I’d rather just watch the whole damn thing on DVD a year or two from now. But if you’re interested, there’s a nice preview of Season 4 at TV Squad, and if you’re not interested, there’s a lovely collection of the women of “FNL” at Co-Ed Magazine. You don’t need to know what happened last season to understand boobs. Like I always say, tits have no back story.

Season 2 was the low point. It really rebounded last season and this one’s worth watching.

If you think tits have no backstory you’ve obviously never been in LA.

No Smash, but they had Nnamdi Asomugha in a guest role — the cop who brought that kid to East Dillon.
