Michael Vick is out of jail, back in the NFL, and coming to BET. The former #1 draft pick and present third-string quarterback will be featured in a BET docu-series tentatively titled “The Michael Vick Project.”

“I just want people to really get to know me as an individual,” Vick said last week in an interview from his home in Philadelphia. “What I want to do is change the perception of me. I am a human being. I’ve made some mistakes in the past, and I wish it had never happened. But it’s not about how you fall, but about how you pick yourself up.” [...]

Man, it’s amazing the way PETA can always make me side with whatever they don’t like. And I like animals. If they’re wearing clothes. About the only thing PETA and I can agree to hate is Jay Leno. They don’t like the way he supports Chicken McNuggets, and I don’t like the way he causes cancer and runs over children with his vintage cars. Probably. I admit, I’m just guessing about the cancer thing.
