10.22.09 WHAT’S ON TONIGHT: TERRIBLE VENTRILOQUISM
The Jeff Dunham Show (Comedy Central) — Series premiere (it wasn’t on last night as I mistakenly reported yesterday). A very nice PR lady from Comedy Central actually asked me to embed the above video, writing, “Any way you can post this trailer for me for the premiere tomorrow? I’d really appreciate it.” Oh, honey. I’m not so sure that you will. Here’s the face I made throughout the entirety of this video. Just absolute disgust.
Community (NBC) — The debate as to whether this is better than “Modern Family” is over, I think: last night’s episode of “Modern Family” positively CRUSHED it. There is a zero percent chance that anything that lives on ABC could possibly be funnier.
American Chopper (TLC) — Season premiere. Possibly the least idiotic thing on TLC.
30 Rock (NBC) — Guest star Will Arnett is back this week as Devin, Kenneth volunteers at an animal shelter and don’t forget that Savanna Samson will appear as “Porn Liz.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta (Bravo) — Season finale. I’d express some kind of relief that this is over, but the O.C. version will probably just start up again next week. Guhhhhhh. At least MTV has the consideration to only do one “Real World” in one location at a time.
Flash Forward (ABC) — A once-promising show is starting to get savaged by reviewers who are calling it bland and “a big sopping mess of nothingness.” Ruh roh.
Survivor: Samoa (CBS) — One of the challenges is halted when a contestant needs emergency medical attention. Host Jeff Probst claims it was the most scared he’s ever been. But then again, he’s the host of reality TV show. It’s not like he storms Fallujah on a regular basis.
