11.17.09 ROB SCHNEIDER IS A HUGE STAR

Anytime I hear of Rob Schneider, I think of the Adam Carolla story from his Loveline days, when apparently Schneider bailed out of an appearance at the last minute because he had writer’s block…. while writing “Deuce Bigelow 2″.

Watching that interview was like watching the Yankees play the Phillies in the World Series. The only thing I could root for was a giant meteor to wipe them all out.

Anytime I hear of Rob Schneider, I wonder why life is so horribly unfair.

I’m pretty sure I heard a rumor that involved Rob Schneider going to Home Depot and paying Mexicans to strangle him in the shower.

Rob was just being a smart-ass, like moi. He wanted to move on but they kept egging him on. But, I’m more concerned with this hack crew: Kevin is the “anchor of the show”; his job is to maintain order and be proper. Virginia is the “voice of reason”; who just acts like “one of the guys” whilst maintaining that “woman aura”. Jason is “the rebel” who listens to heavy metal and will attack anyone who’s against the show. Shitty, knocked-off chemistry. You can’t hate the man (Rob) who does a great Stallone and was in his best film. Be well.

That said, it would have been a toss-up until Schneider went out like a bitch and claimed he was just kidding. Be an asshole if you’re going to be an asshole, but be a man about it.

I was listening this on my way into work this morning and Howard was right, these dj’s were lame (like most) and couldn’t go with the flow. I’m not a huge fan of Rob but having him wait in a parking lot is a bit ghetto, what the building doesn’t even have a lobby ??

I became distracted early on by the douchebag dj wearing zubaz in a television interview. Then again, they are the “WILD 95.5 crew!”, so clearly, that guy took it up a notch with the pants. No wonder Rob couldn’t take it. He was being just too wild for the room. Cutting edge stuff!

Not to harp on this, but the dj wearing zubaz, had time to change his hat before the tv interview. But not the pants. I’m just stunned.

I’ve heard the interview – the DJ’s are complete idiots who apparently don’t know how to work with the person their interviewing. Schneider comes off as teasing them and they could have easily joined in and laughed it off but they came off sounding like children who needed a nap. WHatever you think of Schneider – he comes off as the adult in this scenario and they sound like they couldn’t hold a college radio shift together. How any one hears this and thinks Schneider was out of line perplexes me. Then again – The Jonas Brothers and Britney Spears have careers so I guess people with no taste need DJ’s too.

Since Farthammer beat me to the stapler line, I’m going with my backup plan of a Loveline theme today and point out the inadequancy of morning DJ’s:

Blahblahblah, weather, traffic, news, sports, 7:23, that’s 23 from the top of the hour, 37 minutes from 8 oclock straight up. Look out for brake lights, its slow and go out there, blahblahblah, mattress in lanes. Breaking news: trouble in the middle east, blahblahblah. 8:24, that’s 24 past the top of the hour…and repeat for the next 4 hours.
