MORE BETTER ‘MST3K’ NEWS
12.09.09As awesome as the news is that Hulu is hosting episodes of ‘Mystery Science Theater 3000″ now, it still isn’t an ideal scenario. The chief complaints are that (1) Hulu only features five random episodes at any given time, and (2) users outside the United States can’t watch any Hulu programming. Well, to this I say…
That link is ground zero for watching “MST3K” online from any country in the world. From there you can get to over 140 entire episodes hosted on Google Video. Commercial-free. I’m almost hesitant to link to it, as I fear that any extra attention it gets will lead to the copyright nazis killing it. I also fear that the coolest Warming Glow readers will spend the next three weeks there watching episodes non-stop while foregoing food and sleep, and my traffic will go down. But whatever, if Hulu is going to tease us by not hosting any Hercules or Gamera episodes, then people are going to search out a different site to watch them. Me, I’m just a facilitator. Hey, you want a beer, man? C’mon, just one. What, does your old lady make all your decisions for you?

My top four to start with:
1. The Final Sacrifice
Hands down the most consistently hilarious episode, EVER. Sweet shit.
“…and I will be the one to hold Larry Csonka down, kiss him so hard, I’ll take Larry Csonka’s breath away”
2. The Horrors of Spider Island
3. Wild Rebels
4. The Girl in the Gold Boots
Google “Cinematic Titanic” to see what a bunch of the old MST3K gang is now up to. All new episodes of crunchy goodness, and pretty cheap too.
These guys still make fun of new movies on a site called rifftrax it’s pretty hilarious.
Santa Claus Conquers the Martians (good for the holidays!)
Puma Man
Space Mutiny
The Final Sacrifice (Rowsdower!)
Just some of my favorites.
_Prince of Space_. Dangit.
I’m still going with _Prince of Peace_ and guest appearances on the show by its villain, Krankor.
@SuperFrankie
Uh…you would be looking for Puma Man, and Time Travelers. Respectively.
Also, Godzilla vs. Megalon or Hobgoblins – can’t go wrong with either of them.
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN – FLAT BUTT!
@MrSparkle
Your dad couldn’t just Alan Smithee that shit?
if these videos are on google video, then it doesn’t matter if surf the channel goes down, right? all we’d lose is the convenience of having the titles listed by season and episode. but we could still watch them on google video, and i bet they’ve got some deal worked out with the copyright since they have full episodes.
and favorites: i forget the titles, but the one with the guy who becomes a puma and the time traveling with floppy disks and a cesna one.
Ufford, don’t you lose me my Surf the Channel…
Surf The Channel could do with having a few more episodes of The Wire available; instantly bookmarked nonetheless. Thanks.
Oh and Surf The Channel is awesome, it’s how I stay caught up with Weeds, Mad Men, and True Blood! Err, sorry, Matt, I’m sure you would rather I didn’t have Mad Men in the same sentence as the other two..
Hike, hike, hike up your trousers.
I just wanted to say that my dad directed Future War. He left halfway through production and tried to have his name taken off of it. But anyhow, I find it a great honor that Future War is on MST3K and on their DVD release!
Anybody else enjoy that episode?
Space Mutiny – No. 820
You can never go wrong with “Manos: hands of Fate”, “Red Zone Cuba”, “Pod People”, “Prince of Space”
Gotta go with Final Sacrifice as my all-time favorite. Fat alcoholic Canadian named Zap Rosdower? Oh yeah, it has that…
I second the Gamera recommendation — try Gamera vs. Guiron.
“Gamera is really neat! He is made of turtle meat! We all love you Gaaaamerrrrraaaaa!”
Also, I can’t stress how much I love “Mitchell.” Joe Don Baker as a slob detective with Linda Evans, Martin Balsam and Merlin Fucking Olsen.

We are pretty cool, aren’t we?
I went through this exact process last night when I heard that MST3K was on Hulu. Decided this living in Canada shit couldn’t hold me back, and went through HotShield to watch the “StarFighters” episode. Very funny.
This news gives me a mantis in my pant-is.
@Johnny — You can’t go wrong with Hercules or Gamera. Those are easily my favorite episodes.
Suck on that Hulu!!!
You’re trying to kill me because I made “Ballistic: Ecks Vs. Sever”???
As awesome as Surf The Channel is, I’m actually overwhelmed by the number of episodes to choose from. Where should I start? What era of the show is funniest? Please give me some direction.
