Jersey Shore (MTV) — I ordinarily can’t stand trash television, so it’s hard to defend my love of this gorgeous train wreck. But I think it has something to do with the people feeling honest. For as terrible as all they all are, none of the guidos come across as affected. Shallow, egotistical, and obtuse, yes. But not affected. And that’s refreshing. Or at least as refreshing as something covered in AXE body spray and hair gel can be.
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FX) — Season finale. Wait a second, SEASON FINALE?!?!? But I’m not done loving this season yet!
Community (NBC) — Anthony Michael Hall guest stars as a school bully who challenges Joel McHale to a fight. That has to be so cathartic for Hall.
30 Rock (NBC) — Julianna Moore guest stars as Jack’s high school crush. Man, I miss the days when she was super-hot and getting naked in her movies. Er, I mean, didn’t you just love her moving performance in The Hours?
Michael McDonald in This Christmas: A Soundstage Special Event (PBS) — It’s so smooth!
