Keep in mind that Harding was the Bill Clinton of his time, keeping a mistress at the Whitehouse and doing her frequently in a Whitehouse coat closet and anywhere else with a flat surface. If you caught the first season of Boardwalk Empire, one of the kept women in that show was alluded to as being Harding’s mistress, who had a child fathered by him. He flaunted his mistress in front of everyone including his wife, much like Joseph Kennedy, whose display left a lasting impression on his sons, John, Robert and Edward.
