dawn-of-deadOnce again, “MTV Spring Break” gets totally out of hand

George Romero both kick-stared and perfected the zombie movie genre with Dawn of the Dead, and it took an inspired effort from a visual master like Zack Snyder to not be run out of Hollywood by horror nerds after he re-made the film in 2004. Now MTV is trying to re-make it as a TV series. What could possibl-eye go wrong?

They  haven’t given away much in terms of details surrounding the show, how it will link to the original film or even when it might hit the air. They have noted the show will feature a mix of the classic, slow moving zombies and the latest fad of turning the undead into Olympic sprinters. It’s good to see so much diversity on television.

I’ve got an idea: “Jersey Shore” has proven to be such a phenomenon, why doesn’t MTV base the show in Seaside Heights and have the zombies eat all the guidos? Tell me you wouldn’t want to see an animated GIF of zombie Snooki getting her head blown off. Internet, make it so!
