Watch this video and be amazed. This actually happened. In 2010.
Yes, in response to General Larry Platt’s performance of “Pants on the Ground” on “American Idol” that swept the nation, John Belski and Kevin Harned of WAVE 3 — Louisville’s NBC affiliate — performed an homage called “Snow on the Ground.” I just watched it for the third time and I still can’t believe that they put the time in to come up with choreography for this. It’s more like a Christopher Guest mockumentary than real life. If this video were a person, I would give it a long, tender embrace. And that’s saying a lot, because I have crippling OCD that prevents me from touching people.

Bwahahahahaha!!
9″ of snow, like me > snow on the ground
I too am from Louisville and I love the creativity and the message needed to be out there and maybe the entertaining way it has been presented will make some people pay attention.
I am on the ground laughing,…. how many local weather people do something besides standing in front of a boring weather map
As someone from Louisville, I’d like to ask for the internet’s forgiveness.
As an avid blog reader of John Belski’s incredibily informative weather blog(guy on the left with glasses),I believe that after a reading it you’d retract that statement Yeatdag, for these three reasons:
1. He’s the best meterologist in Louisville!(Definately one of the toughest areas to predict weather in the entire country)
2. If you knew how people drive in snow here (it’s basically like people have never seen the stuff before everytime it snows!), you’d realize the need for people to watch this video! (We had about 10 school bus accidents Tuesday morning…with 1/2 inch…:/)
3. You have to give them some credit for creativity and just for putting themselves out there, their weathermen for godsakes!
Oh Kentucky. Is there no end for your retardery?
God, I’m from Louisville and I am so ashamed. on the ground.
I like the polite smattering of applause at the end. And at least they tried to get the “lyrics” right rather than just repeat the chorus over and over, ahem, Brett Favre.
Wait, was this a Digital Short?
On an unrelated note JD Salinger is dead as Dillinger at 91 years old.
Larry Pratt’s 15 minutes sre starting to become as annoying as his son, Spencer.
This is worse than something Michael Scott would make on The Office.
Can we not call this Larrt Pratt guy a general? This goober never served in the military. He was given the nickname by Atlanta civil rights activist Hosea Williams.
The awkward white guy hi-5 at the end was the ice-ing on the cake.
