It’s Friday afternoon, most people I know aren’t working due to SNOWPACALYPSE II, I’ve been fighting the urge to start drinking for the last three hours, and stories like Ebert on Oprah and “Blue Mountain State” getting renewed don’t excite me, so here’s a four-and-a-half minute tribute to Panthro from “Thundercats.”

This video comes via Mad Decent, which calls Panthro an “unsung hero of black history.” I recommend reading the entire post, which rails against Western civilization’s focus on “some cracker ass Lion-Man, while the true genius of the Thundereans, Brother Panthro, the only Thunderean of African descent, has gone entirely unnoticed by even the most astute historians.” And the author is correct, I think. I never realized what a badass Panthro was. But in my defense, it’s because I was too busy ogling Cheetara.
