Question marks in the headline can only mean one thing: it’s not actually news! So now that we’re free from the burden of facts, let’s talk about the rumors surrounding Conan O’Brien’s career moves. I heard he’s going to sing for the Dead Weather at Coachella!

Getting shoved out of his TV dream job as Tonight Show host is going to make him a movie star. I’m told that early talks are underway to give documentary feature treatment to O’Brien’s 30-city live comedy/music revue… Planning is just getting underway, but I’ve heard that Media Rights Capital has already had conversations about coming aboard as financier. Rodman Flender is in talks to direct. [Deadline]

In other news, O’Brien’s talks to create a late-night show with Fox are moving forward. The LA Times has a thorough article about it, but the long and the short of it is whether Fox thinks it can make the show profitable.

Key Fox executives, including Rupert Murdoch, are on board with the plan and would like to finalize a deal in coming weeks so they can make a splash on May 17 when the network unveils its fall lineup. Several significant issues remain and the Fox talks could fall apart… But people close to O’Brien are cautiously optimistic. ”We’ll get there,” one of them said Tuesday.

Oh, and for the record, Conan’s live show in Edmonton will preclude him from performing with the Dead Weather at Coachella. But he IS playing Bonnaroo. I think. I’m pretty sure I didn’t make that up. Whatever, man, facts are exhausting. I’m gonna take a nap.
