Justified (FX) — Series premiere. Obviously, if you care about TV shows kicking ass, then you need to watch this tonight. TV Tattle has a good collection of links to reviews around the country, but here’s a quick summation: Timothy Olyphant is badass and the writing is solid, but some critics (read: a handful of women and prissy douches) don’t like all the “broads, bad guys, blow-ups, bullets and buckets of blood.” [Linda Stasi of the NY Post] Yeah, I hate it when television is exciting.

moaklerNCIS (CBS) — Shanna Moakler guest stars as a treasure seeker who turns up dead. You know, for a woman who posed in Playboy on her way to fame, there are WAY too many pictures of her with Blink-182 drummer/ex-husband Travis Barker on the Internet. You’ll need to turn off the safety restrictions on your image search if you wanna get anything at all.

American Idol (Fox) — Guhhhhh… Teenagers and pop wannabes sing the Rolling Stones. If you care, you can read MovieLine’s handicapping of the top 12, which is pretty tolerable, given the content.

Southland (TNT) — All the cops on this show seem to be more or less inherently good. Will NO ONE steal from the Korean deli or beat a black person?

Lost (ABC) — Sorry, no spoiler party on Twitter tonight. I’ve got a lot of writing to do, and I need to dedicate an hour to “Justified.” But feel free to send spoilers my way. I relish them.
