First Look at ‘Mad Men’ Season 4
06.15.10The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly has the first image released from Season 4 of “Mad Men” (premiering July 25th), and I hope you’re sitting down, because OH MY GOD DON DRAPER IS SMOKING! And the main characters are wearing suits! SPOILER ALERT: Season 4 will have skinny ties and tobacco use!
This image may not give away very much, but it’s all I need to get pumped for the season premiere next month. Creator Matthew Weiner also teases us, saying that, “The theme of the season is ‘Who am I?’ It’s about stripping away the things that these people think define them. Once they’re taken away, they just may have to look at who they really are.” [Buzz Sugar]
An existential dilemma? ANOTHER COMPLETELY NEW DIRECTION. Wow, being on the Internet totally gives me the inside scoop on all my favorite shows. Extra, extra! Next season on “CSI: Miami,” David Caruso will remove his sunglasses for dramatic effect!

You’re Dick Whitman. I thought they already explored that question last season.
This is the season where the show is supposed to jump the shark, right?
Let’s see, the show’s crept into the mid-60s now, right?
I give it a couple seasons before these guys all wind up in Vietnam. Maybe they go in together as an elite commando unit, maybe they get convicted of a crime they didn’t commit.
Roger Sterling as Hannibal, Don Draper as Face, Pete Campbell as Murdoch, and … as B.A., I guess we have to go with the series’ only black character, the guy who ran the elevator?
Or you could put Sterling in blackface, Tropic Thunder style.
Good point, Patty. But I think Paul Kinsey gets the nod there.
“I told you! I ain’t singin’ with no Whiffenpoofs, Hannibal!”
I barely recognized Roger there without the blackface and singing My Old Kentucky Home to his whore wife.
Shit, I forgot Sterling already did the blackface.
Sadly, I think I’ve now put more thought into this concept than the creators of the original A-Team show.
This still-frame gave me a boner and Alison Brie is not even in it.
