I have a tendency to ignore news stories, and that’s why I appreciate Taiwan’s NMA News. NMA always creates helpful computer-animated recreations of American news that gives you a complete understanding of the whole story — even if you don’t speak a word of Mandarin. Especially if you don’t.

Take, for example, Sarah Palin. She was hunting bears with an assault rifle from a helicopter flown by John McCain when Barack Obama’s “Yes We Can” helicopter forced her to parachute to a Tea Party rally. Then she went on Fox News with crib notes on her hands, talked about the BP oil spill, and starred in a reality show called “Keeping Up with the Palins” during which she smoked weed with her family. Then she waved at Russians, broke a Speak & Spell, made Shakespeare roll around his grave, pole-danced to raise money, and engaged in a mud-wrestling match with Obama to win the presidency.

Huh. I’m surprised I didn’t hear about the pole-dancing. That’s the sort of thing I usually remember.
