Dogs at a Bar? Dogs at a Bar.
09.10.10Below is a terrific clip from the BBC show “That’s Life” in 1986. It’s about three German Shepherds who run into a bar because they love getting shot in the face with the seltzer bottle (see the 1:35 mark for magic). Also, as you can see from the banner image, there are Dutch subtitles because the clip was recorded from a Dutch show called “Zomergasten.” Oh, and the British barman speaks Japanese at one point.
So, to recap, you have to sift through British accents, Dutch subtitles, and a smattering of Japanese to watch German Shepherds do something awesome. Whether or not you like the international flavor, it’s a pretty terrific clip. Until you realize that those dogs are all dead now :(

“Barkeep, give me a shot of Kennel One.”
Middle dog at 3:03 – Gold.
Wow, I totally understand that! It turns out Dutch is just English spoken by drunks.
I’d like three Barkweisers please.
@KP, or a shot of Petron.
Three Lowenbradors, please.
/do they still make that beer?
//man, I’m hungover
You know, I don’t appreciate being condescended to. I’m perfectly aware of how to say “who wants it first” in Japanese.
Could we get another round of tequila and lyme over here?
Bartender: Hey pal, you’re cut off.
Geman Shepherd: /drunkenly paws at crotch. Don’t you talk to me about “cut off”!
Is that Werner Herzog at 3:09? I’m asking seriously.
This video melted my face off with awesome.
