Scarlett to Host SNL & Other News
10.28.10There are a lot of little stories that aren’t quite worth their own post, so I’m lumping them together and serving them cold. Enjoy.
Boner Night Live — After this weekend’s much-anticipated Jon Hamm episode, “SNL” will return November 13th with host Scarlett Johansson and musical guest Arcade Fire (double boner), followed the next week with Anne Hathaway and Florence + the Machine. [NBC]
Syfy cancels ‘Caprica’ — Awww, Alessandra Toressani’s out of work now. But I’ve got a “job” for her, heh heh heh. *points at stack of disorganized papers* [The Live Feed]
Good news! And also okay news. HBO has renewed both “Eastbound & Down” and “Bored to Death” for a third season. [Deadline]
Alternate Title: ‘I Have Stretch Marks’ — Starting in late December, MTV will air a show called “I Used to Be Fat” in which graduated high school seniors lose weight before college. [B&C]

I don’t really owe you an apology but I’ll say it anyway. I’m sorry but Eastbound and Down isn’t funny.
^Agreed.
Anne Hathaway has more comedic timing than the entire cast of SNL combined. Should be a good one.
@EP: Is Eastbound and Down supposed to be a comedy? I didn’t laugh once during Sunday’s episode. Kenny Powers has gone from anti-hero to just plain unlikeable.
The person here to bitch about Scarlett Johanson’s new haircut gets a slap.
“…graduated high school seniors lose weight before college.”
They’re going to stop being fat in a single summer? I’ll assume this is a meth-based show.
“I Used to Be Fat”
I assume hosted by Hannah Storm?
I’d assumed “I Used To Be Fat” was a spin-off of “I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant”.

Damn my dyslexia.
MTV, if you’re going to do a fat show, do one on people who were fat losers in high school and go back for their 10-year reunions skinny and successful with hot wife/husband/boyfriend/girlfriends. I’d watch that shit. I don’t care about an 18-year-old who lost 30 pounds and went from “Meh, MAYBE if I was drunk” to “Yeah, sure I suppose.”
Eastbound and Down has been terrible this season. Bored to Death is fantastic.
“Awww, Alessandra Toressani’s out of work now. But I’ve got a “job” for her, heh heh heh.”
Her??
