More Like ‘The Governa-turd’
04.04.11Now that Arnold Schwarzenegger is done being California’s governor, he plans to re-enter the world of entertainment, and one of his first projects is a cartoon series called “The Governator,” a TV series/comic book collaboration with (*sigh*) Stan Lee. Although the project doesn’t have a distribution deal (yet), the trailer is below, and if I had to sum it up in one word: UGH.
In classic crime-fighter fashion, the Governator will have his tricked-out Arnold Cave, along with a fleet of super-vehicles and a closet full of “Super Suits” that allow him to fly and perform super-stunts. He’ll also have some classic sidekicks, including Zeke Muckerberg, a precocious 13-year-old computer whiz who handles the Governator’s cybersecurity.
The best part? A group of recurring super-villains from the organization Gangsters Imposters Racketeers Liars & Irredeemable Ex-Cons (a.k.a. G.I.R.L.I.E. Men, of course). [MTV]
Granted, the target audience is children, not 32-year-old alcoholic veterans, but this looks like an amalgamated rip-off of every superhero story ever made. If the action sequence below stands out from other cartoons, that’s only because it’s set to a Black Eyed Peas song. NOTE: that is not a compliment.

The only thing that can save this are gratuitous quotes from “Commando.”

I guess Stan Lee’s run out of people to steal good ideas from
HRRRRRRRUGGHGHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRROOOOOOGH
Sorry, I just threw up a little bit all over my house, the front of my shirt and the inside of my car as I drove it at 100MPH into a concrete barrier. Now, lying in my hospital bed a broken man, I STILL cannot get that horrible crap out of my head. I am trapped with it. You can’t unsee things. I know that now.
You think Stan Lee wakes up in the morning and asks himself, “How can I shit on my own legacy today”?
Does part of him being a private citizen now involve keeping a cadre of children in a cave under his house?
are you sure this wasn’t released on April 1st?
So this isn’t a remake of C.O.P.S. the cartoon?

Will Zeke Muckerberg be voiced by Jesse Eisenberg? Because they I’d totally watch it.
/no I wouldn’t.
Ahhhhhnald enjoys the dulcet tones of Dick Dale while he does work.
Larry King needs to be his sidekick. and I will buy every season (after it gets cancelled season 1)
I feel like someone ran the animation style I like from The Boondocks through a shit-grinder to intentionally sadden me.
Riding a motorcycle without a helmet? What kind of example are you setting for the children you have locked in your cave
A manly exploitation cartoon that will live as cult television in my lifetime about Arnold, dear god what a beautiful idea. And yes that is a compliment, you people really have to get with the times.
AAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWYEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can’t possibly be the only person that read that as, ‘a closet full of “Super Sluts.”‘
