It’s not that unusual for a musician in our meme culture to put together a song or a video paying tribute to a television show. A few weeks ago, for instance, Adam WarRock released a fantastic rap about “Downton Abbey” that blared out of minivans across the nation for a few days. (WarRock also has a brilliant rap about “Firefly“) What’s unusual about Levar Allen’s “Streets Ahead Remix,” however, is that it’s not as much about his appreciation for “Community,” although that’s apparent, as it is about the fact that NBC has been playing with our hearts over the last several months, pulling the show and threatening to cancel it (FYI: Based on the latest ratings, there’s no way NBC cancels “Community.”) It’s a hardscrabble rap about gritty network politics and the little show that’s been played the victim.

If you’ve read a single post on Warming Glow over the last month, then you likely already know that “Community” is set to return tonight on NBC. Here’s the funny thing about “Community,” though: For a show that’s such a huge phenomenon on the Internet, most people don’t actually know much about the actors behind some of their favorite characters. With the exception of Joel McHale and Chevy Chase, the cast of “Community” was largely unknown before the show debuted in 2009. Most of the actors, however, have been working in various roles in television and movies for years. Few, however, would recognize their pre-”Community” work.

I spent a few hours doing some sleuthing, however, and came up with 25 Facts about the pre-show careers of the cast of “Community” that most of us weren’t aware of. Until now. I don’t know how much most of this will change your perception of the actors, but at the very least, fans of 90s hip-hop (DANGER?) may see Yvette Nicole Brown in a completely different light.

Here’s what we know: “Community” will be back on Thursday. At some point this season, a character will die. We also know that at some point this season, there will be a “Law & Order” themed episode. It would be easy to deduce that the death will come during that episode. The death will come in the later afternoon. Many of us have predicted that it would be Annie’s Boobs that dies. Others believe it may be Chang (that’s wishful thinking). The episode, which hasn’t set specific air date yet, is called “Basic Lupine Urology.” Lupine related to a wolf; urology relates to the urinary system. So, we’re basically talking wolf pee, or more logically, it’s a reference to Dick Wolfe, the creator of “Law & Order.”

Well, I’m stumped. But here’s an brilliant “Law & Order” style opening for the show.
