CNBC’s Rick Santelli — a man who is PISSED that homeowners are getting bailed out the in same way that the banks and automakers were — backed out of a guest appearance on “The Daily Show.”  In what may be a related story, last night Jon Stewart devoted a full eight minutes to tearing apart CNBC’s horrifically lazy and incorrect reporting on the nation’s financial crisis.  This is the Daily Show at its best: sharp, angry, and dismantling an institution’s arrogance.

How are you guys getting through the recession/depression?  I keep my money in my socks.  And I’ve taken a second job at a Port Authority toilet stall.  You should stop by sometime.
