As a full-time Internet nerd, it’s hard for me to believe that people are still making TV/film mash-ups. I mean, what is this, 2007? The theme music to Brokeback Mountain kind of killed the video mash-up for everyone.

That said, this “MacGuyver”/Big Lebowski mix is pretty cool (and appropriate for yesterday’s 4/20 “holiday”). There’s just something about the “MacGuyver” music that always gets me fired up and makes me want to crash through a plaster wall and apprehend bad guys without using a gun. I’m pretty sure it’s the explosion in the credits. More credits need explosions. Correction: all credits need more explosions.

You ever notice how every law enforcement agency on TV and the movies is able to solve crimes by enhancing grainy footage? Of course you have, because it’s the one thing that every police computer can do that nobody’s personal computer can do. Well, that and find the states where I’m a sex offender. Whatever, I didn’t want to live in Alabama anyway.

That’s why this awesomely edited mash-up from dunk3d is one of the best things I’ve seen all week. The shows listed in the tags don’t even make a complete list of all the shows used in this clip, and it doesn’t even include the handful of movies that made the cut, as well.

The video below is the result of somebody made a film of their cat running around and doing things, and then setting it to the theme song for “MacGyver.”

You know, it’s the simple things in life. That’s all I ask for. You know, sunshine on the weekends, the occasional smile from a stranger, finding a five-dollar bill on the street, a stick of butter in my ass, and of course fresh caviar off the naked body of a Japanese teenager. But if you’re out of caviar, I’ll take cats running around to MacGyver.
