The Miss USA pageant hasn’t been in the news since the disgraced former Miss California/pageant runner-up Carrie Prejean expressed her views on gays, sparking media interest that turned up racy photos (and a boob job), resulting in Prejean being stripped of her crown. In a controversial move to drum up attention for this year’s pageant, which airs on Sunday, Donald Trump had these sexy-as-hell photos taken of all 51 contestants.

Donald Trump — who owns the Miss USA, Miss Teen USA and Miss Universe competitions — argued that Prejean’s sexy shots crossed a line that these Miss USA snaps don’t.

“Those were quite a bit different. There’s no open exposure [in the current Miss USA pictures],” Trump told The Post yesterday… ”I did see the pictures, and obviously, they’re risqué, but I also thought they were very artsy and very beautiful,” Trump said. [NY Post]

Whatever. Prejean is last year’s news, and the only thing that matters now is that someone had the good sense to photograph attractive young women wearing nothing but lingerie, heels, fishnets, and truckloads of eye makeup. These women are precisely the role models the young girls of America need. Listen to their message, girls. They’ll tell you all about how important education is. And education is important. Almost as important as trying to look like Brigitte Bardot.

Carrie Prejean wasn’t crowned Miss USA, and gay marriage supporters didn’t name her Miss Congeniality, but she is winning the Miss Please Leave the News Cycle title hands-down.  Not only does the reigning Miss California appear in a new ad for the National Organization for Marriage (NOM), but now Shanna Moakler (shown here copulating with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker) has confirmed that the Miss USA organization paid for Prejean’s breast implants just weeks before the pageant.

“It was something that we all spoke about together,” Shanna said referring to herself, Carrie and Keith Lewis, Shanna’s co-executive director. “It was an option and she wanted it. And we supported that decision.”[...]

“Breast implants in pageants is not a rarity. It’s definitely not taboo. It’s very common. Breast implants today among young women today is very common. I don’t personally have them, but you know — they are,” she added. [source]

Strong swimmers make her wet

I was really hoping that Miss California/opposite marriage proponent Carrie Prejean would fade out of the news cycle, but no: that would be entirely too pleasant.  As it turns out, Prejean is dating another gifted physical specimen with limited brain capacity: Olympic legend Michael Phelps.  This was confirmed by none other than Prejean’s grandmother, Jeanette Coppolla.  From RADAR:

“Carrie and Michael have been out to baseball games and lunch,” Coppolla said. “He always calls her when he is in town and they go out.”

Not just a pretty blonde, Prejean is fully aware of Phelps’ lothario reputation and is taking the flirtation with the swimmer in stride. “Carrie knows that he has dated a lot of girls but she enjoys going out with him and isn’t serious about being in a relationship with him,” she added. “He’s a nice guy and she likes him.”

So… yeah.  Hardly a confirmation of a real relationship.  She’s just on his “to do” list, if you know what I’m saying.  And I think you do. I’m implying that they’re fornicating.  Penis in the vagina, likely until a state of climax is reached.  Or am I being too subtle?

To recap: Miss USA judge and talentless hack Perez Hilton asked Miss California Carrie Prejean for her opinion on gay marriage, and she politely but inelegantly said she didn’t agree with it.  And so Perez called her a bitch and a c-nt in video blogs.  Because she gave him her opinion WHEN HE ASKED FOR IT.

Prejean, in turn, appeared on “The Today Show” to stick up for herself, where she awesomely tossed out the condescending “I’ll pray for him” line that translates into non-Christian English as “F-ck that guy.”

This is a tough one to sort out.  I’m all for equal rights and gay marriage, but I also happen to believe in free speech and not calling people “c-nt” just because they answer your question honestly.  I’m also for pretty girls and euthanizing idiots.  Long story short: we need a Playboy spread and some vigilantism.  But then, that’s my solution for everything.

Blogging urtard Perez Hilton was a judge for the Miss USA pageant this weekend, and he really put Miss California Carrie Prejean on the spot when he asked her if all states should legalize same-sex marriage.  I’ve got the video above, but I felt the need to transcribe her response for posterity:

“Well, I think it’s great that Americans are able to choose one or the other.  We live in a land that you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage.  And you know what?  In my country, and my family, I think that I believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman.  No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised, and that’s how I think that it should be between a man and a woman.  Thank you.”

I’ll give her credit for sticking to her guns and telling the gay judge that gays shouldn’t have the right to be married.  And good for her.  It’s about time someone in an evening gown stood up for opposite marriage.

The look of disbelief on Perez’s face really makes the whole thing worthwhile.  You can see a little spark of righteous anger, like he’s thinking, “I haven’t built a career of drawing dicks in MS Paint to be insulted like this!”
