It was Wednesday morning when The Daily What picked up a video from Have You Seen This that featured Turbo the corgi puppy falling asleep in a bucket, and within minutes I was bombarded with emails and tweets about it (the video’s embedded on the next slide). I love that about Warming Glow readers: nothing corgi-related can exist on the Internet without people sending it to me. If I had a handful of TV industry sources that were half as eager to share Hollywood scoops, this blog would be more important than Deadline. Ah well, I’ll settle for cuter.

Turbo loves sleeping in the oddest places and has a knack for turning every garbage can inside out. This is his favorite one and we always find him sleeping completely, halfway or upside down in one.

He’s usually sleeping inside the trash can after he has already knocked it over but we actually brought him upright for this video. I have a feeling he’s not a huge fan of nodding off this way though… a minute after we shot this he wiggled his way out, knocked the can over again, crawled back in face first and fell asleep He’s a picky snoozer!

Quick programming note: I had dinner and drinks with a Marine friend in Manhattan last night, then I had an epic two-hour public transportation clusterf*ck getting home in a snowstorm, so I’ve got a combination hangover/lack of sleep thing going on. In an hour, after I’ve consumed a pot of coffee and a side of bacon and a liter of coconut water, I’ll be fine. But right now I’m a gun away from a deadly rampage, so please: keep a wide berth.

Anyhoo, reader Jason sent me this video yesterday, and it made me belly-laugh because I didn’t know what to expect. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did back when I was capable of enjoying things.

Morning news shows always need the right amount of light-hearted fluff, because people are angriest when they first wake up or when their husband first leaves them with the kids all damn day. In Australia, someone at the Nine Network thought “Today” hosts Karl Stefanovic and Lisa Wilkinson should capitalize on the popularity of curling at the Olympics by playing some Wii curling (see video below). Except the thing is, well, if you replace the broom with a Wii controller, twelve-year-olds like me can’t help but notice that it looks like they’re furiously masturbating (which is generally the best way to masturbate, IMHO).

Anyway, this reminds me: I really want to date a curler. A female curler, I mean. Oh, who am I kidding? I’ll take what I can get.

This sounds awesome.  I’ve been interested in Internet dating, but apparently that has actual interaction with other human beings.  This sounds exactly what I’ve been looking for.  All the courting of women that I have for so long wanted to do, but without the agony of speaking to other people.

Holy crap.  I had no idea that there was a video game version of “Grey’s Anatomy.”  However, if I had known it existed, I still wouldn’t have needed to watch this video to guess correctly that it sucks, and sucks HARD.  Sucks like Jenna Haze working a vacuum cleaner in a room full of dicks on a spaceship headed toward a black hole.  You could give me the choice of playing this game or being hunted by a pack of wild dogs, and I’d have to at least think it over.  Say what you will about being torn apart by feral dogs, at least it’s not boring.

Showtime’s serial-killer drama “Dexter” is being made into a video game that you can play on your iPhone.  You know, if you’re one of those assholes with an iPhone.  IGN describes the gameplay:

First, you must set up the revenge room so the teacher, Donovan, is faced with his crimes. To do this, you must dig up the bodies of the slain. (Exhuming dead kids? Hello, 17+ rating on iTunes.) After acquiring a shovel, you locate disturbed earth in a seedy park… You must drag three bodies out of the ground to set up the revenge room, but if you locate the fourth body, you score a 100-percent rating on evidence…

Plus you get the satisfaction of exhuming a fourth child’s body from a seedy park — which is its own reward, really.

Once… Donovan admits he is a sick man, you end his life. And at this point, your iPhone becomes a scalpel. You don’t actually see Dexter carve Donovan. Instead, you do it yourself, swiping your iPhone back and forth, using the accelerometer to wield this virtual blade. Out of the speakers, you hear every cut and tear, as well as Donovan’s screams. It is… creepy.

The downside?  All that vigorous swiping and slashing makes you look less cool, and that totally ruins the iPhone experience.
